It’s Crunch time!!! Our FALL 2013 issue (and second one, ever!) is officially here! We’d like to thank each and every person who has made this project a reality this semester— everyone from the board members (shout out to directors My Ngoc and Didar!) to our superspecialawesome Harvard contributors (thank you for your beautiful art!!!!). It has been such a wonderful journey for all of us here on the HCCC board, and we simply CANNOT WAIT for next semester’s issue! Don’t forget to keep checking back here and our website for updates, art, and more!
Online copy of the issue: http://www.harvardcomics.com/the-crunch.html

My child (The Crunch) is finally born. Check out my comics (I did the front cover, inside front cover, back cover, and comic on page 14 and 15 as well as the comics of the other talented artists. The layout and editing took a while but it’s finally finished for this semester wooooo

PencilCat: 30 Day Art Challenge: Draw all the things →

pencilcat:

My first challenge, Improvement Hell, was a way to inspire people to draw different things different ways, drawing outside their comfort zone, and most of all to draw every day. I had a few people ask for a follow up. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the sequel: Draw All The Things

Each day…

Let’s try to do this if I have the time (which I don’t at the moment)… #lateforclass

I thought I’d share the work I did recently! This may be either the front or the back cover my my college’s Comics Club publication, The Crunch.
The motif of the magazine is monsters, and people who usually study/sleep in the Lamont Library the entire night (it’s open 24/7) are called “Lamonsters” so I combined both ideas to produce this in 1.5 hours and plenty of permanent marker.

Bored lamia! The pattern on her is supposed to resemble that of a corn snake. This is also my first post since college started! It’s already been one week since actual classes started, but I already feel so overwhelmed. I’m glad I have awesome extracurricular activities that balance out the stress of work.

Katarina from League of Legends, water bottle style! I drew it today as a gift for one of my friends (guess who his favorite character is), except the water bottle itself and the markers it came with constituted the worst kit I ever bought from Michaels Arts & Crafts store, EVER. The black lines were Sharpie, because I couldn’t draw nice thin lines with the markers included. I hope the marker doesn’t wash off easily, so my friend can enjoy it longer.

(6/18/13) Noodle in the city, mini-watercolor drawing emanating Jamie Hewlett’s style. Did you know they sell straw hats with ears on them?
